environment. We have a choice of great hotels:
Victoria Playa - a fantastic larger (133 double rooms and 18 Junior Suites) 3 star hotel with two pools some 150m from the beach at St Cristobal, and is a only a short walk from the old town. Great value flexible HB dining plan (choose either lunch or evening meal on a day by day basis).
Arrayanes Playa - A great family run smaller 3 star hotel with lovely pool and terraces overlooking the bay. Superb sea views over the bay to the Peñon and right on the paseo. 33 spacious double rooms. B&B or HB options
Apartments
Fully fitted Apartments - ideal for those who wish to go the self-catering route. These are suitable for up to four persons and excellent for families.
Apartment Atalaya is a privately owned duplex apartment overlooking Velilla beach and is fitted out to a very high standard. Two doubles plus a single bedroom, and situated overlooking Velilla beach slightly further along the sea front towards the east (20 - 25 mins walk along the sea side paseo to the very centre of town). Pool & tennis Court. Suitable for up to 5 people.
Los Laureles apartments started life as a horse riding club and stables, but is now one of the leading restaurants in Almuñécar offering holiday accommodation. Set in a quiet residential area, some 10 mins stroll into town over Rio Verde. Choice for rooms with limited self catering or a fully featured apartment, with breakfasts in the adjacent restaurant included.
