This Summer 08 activity holiday itinerary runs from Sat 31 May 08 until Sat 25 Oct 08.  Outside of these dates our Winter Season itinerary applies.

Summer Activity Holiday Detailed Itinerary:

• Saturday - We meet you at Malaga Airport (see transfer times) and transfer you to your accommodation, where we will run through your fully detailed welcome folder with all the local maps and guides you need to get the most from your stay.
   
• Saturday  Evening - Join our beach side welcome meeting in a chiringuito overlooking the glittering blue sea and enjoy a refreshing drink & tapa while we answer any questions you may have, before our inclusive welcome evening meal & drinks.

• Sunday - Choose from: PADI trial dive - No previous experience required on our   as all instruction is given to you for a first class introduction to this brilliant sport.  If the bug bites we can organise a full four day course in which you will gain the world recognised PADI Open Water Diver qualification, allowing you to dive with a buddy independent of an instructor
   - OR -

• Our ever popular self guided Mountain Biking ridge route has options off road between 9 and 15km, or a return all downhill via tarmac.  Stunning views over the white villages and the bright blue sea, from a high point of some 600m altitude.  All route notes & maps needed supplied
  - OR -

• Walking the Ridge  - a great self guided walk along the first part of the ridge, descending to a neighbouring village where we rendezvous in a tapas bar to bring you back

• Sunday - Evening  After our days activities we all meet up in a beach bar and then set off for an evening's mini-tour of Almuñécar to get you orientated. On this we will see some of the Roman ruins, the castle, old town and a few of the lovely monuments and statues by Miguel Moreno.

• Monday - Choose from: PADI trial dive  As Sunday (see above) but an alternative date for those who wanted to do the Mountain Biking or Ridge walk
   - OR -

• Self guided Coast walking. A great coastal walk with a picnic lunch to enjoy en route, following the Moorish Atalayas (watchtowers) along the coast & cliff paths to the neighbouring town of Salobreña with its Arabic hill top castle.  Time to sightsee in Salobreña, perhaps exploring the castle and old town with its gleaming white houses clinging to the hill below - or stroll over to the beach and enjoy tapas or freshly barbequed fish at a beach bar by the sea.  Transport back and your picnic lunch, as well as Salobreña guide notes all inc. 
   - OR -

• Motocross Trail Ride option.  Full motorcycle licence required for a full day off road excursion you will not forget!  Superb KTM, Honda, Suzuki or Yammies available and absolutely superb riding.  All kit provided, as well as lunch.  Supplement of €210 payable - this is not cheap but it is a full-on day with a highly professional off road company

• Monday - Evening - Join us on our fun filled Tapas Trail, where €15 "in the kitty" takes around the old town with its tapas bars and restaurants.  A great way to get to know the old part of  town, with its cobbled streets lined with small shops as well as the local tapas & specialities.

• Tuesday - Choose from: Watersports day featuring a 3 hr escorted Sea Kayak Safari in sea kayaks around the sea cliffs and caves (swell & sea conditions permitting) followed, after a quick rest for lunch an hours windsurfing on superb kit
  - OR -

• All Day Shoot Out with our exciting Paintball & Long Bow Archery up in the sierras!  A brilliant opportunity to try traditional long bows on various fixed and moving targets.  A superb 2 hr archery session with all tuition, as well as junior bows and mini cross bows for children.  Then, after a break for refreshments we get kitted up for a full 4 hrs paintball !  Full briefing and umpire support, with full protective kit provided, for a choice of game formats.  All instruction & safety kit provided as well as picnic lunch.

• Riding. A brilliant half day ride along the old mule trails through the olive and mango orchards overlooking the glittering blue sea from our coastal stables.  Fantastic views and superb, forward going horses. 
   

• Wednesday - Free time to maybe try one of our optional activities payable locally, perhaps sightseeing or mountain biking, take a guided walk, try a sea kayak, visit a spa, or just relax by the glittering blue sea.

• Thursday - Choose from: Canyoning - A "must do" activity for all, this full days canyoning is a great day in truly spectacular surroundings.  Walking, swimming and  jumping down the river and rock pools, as well as abseiling down the waterfalls in the gorges high in the mountains, where the mountain goats just stand and wonder why we do it.  Absolutely brilliant fun!  Packed lunch included.
  - OR -

• Mountain Biking  - Enjoy our brilliant Sierra Almijara natural park ride!  We drive in a/c 4WD up through the valley inland into the Natural Park, enjoying the fantastic scenery, to our drop off at an altitude of 1062m above sea level.  You then descend on forest tracks through the park to the villages of Lentegi, then down further tracks to Otivar, before heading back to Jete on road.  You can then either continue home of the road, or dive down into Rio Verde to follow the river course back.  Picnic lunch inc.
  - OR -

•  Natural park hike. - A glorious walk down through the natural park (see above) with time to relax in the olive groves for a picnic.  We finish at a typical restaurant in Otivar for tapas / lunch (not inc) before our transport arrives to take us back down the valley to home.  Picnic lunch inc.

• Friday - Choose from:Quad Biking - An exciting 3 hr Quad Bike safari in the Axarquia region takes you high into the sierras and the natural park on our Quad Bikes.  You will get full instruction on how to safely handle your Quad, before setting off to explore off road along the river beds and trails.  UK (or equiv) licence rqd to drive.
  - OR -

• Nerja Caves.  A half day excursion to see the worlds largest underground column in the spectacular Nerja caves complex, where we will see where the famous ballets are held each year in Spring.  Amazing underground formations in a truly spectacular setting.  We then visit the Balcon de Europe, where we have time for sight seeing and refreshments before returning home
  - OR -

• Frigiliana excursion.  Explore the Pueblo Blanco (White Vilage) of Frigiliana with its maze of cobbled streets and white cottages dating back to Moorish times.  A real "picture postcard" village, with enchanting tapas bars, and stunning views from the terraces and hill top behind the town.  Don't forget the camera!
  - OR -

• Watersports A great day out with a choice of the following activities.  Double or single kayaks and a great choice of windsurfing boards & rigs suitable from complete beginners to experts plus dinghy or catamaran sailing
  • 3hr Sea Kayak + 2 hrs windsurfing
  • 3hr Sea Kayak + 1hr Windsurfing lesson + 1 hr Windsurfing practice
  • 3hrs dinghy sailing in Laser + 1 hr windsurfing + 1 hr kayak
  • 3hrs dinghy sailing in GP14 + 1 hr windsurfing + 1 hr kayak
  • 3hrs Catamaran sailing + 1 hr windsurfing + 1 hr kayak
     

• Saturday - Transfers back to Malaga airport

Non Active Partner or Friend?

We have the answer for you as all our other activities and riding are available as well so if you've got a non active partner or friend, we can get them sorted out while you're out at it!  Equally, if you fancy a Spa session, an excursion to the Alhambra palace in Granada or a go at something different all our other activities are available and payable locally.   Simply book "accommodation only" and choose from our Optional Activities Menu.  NB. All Activity & Activity Week prices only applicable when our listed accommodation is taken.
