Long bow archery up in the sierras! A superb archery
session with all tuition,
as well as junior bows and mini cross bows for
children, pitting our skills against fixed and moving targets.
A brilliant opportunity to try traditional long bows on various fixed - and moving - targets. Our archery session is a great introduction to this ancient traditional sport, using traditional long bows, in a variety of sizes from children's bows to 1.50m & 1.70m bows for adults. For smaller children we have small de-powered plastic framed cross bows which use a small plastic safety bolt. These are very light to hold and operate, so even younger members of the family can have a go in complete safety.
After a full safety briefing ad instruction in how to handle your bow, you will walk a track shooting at a range of different stationary targets. These range from 125 x 125 to 60 x 60 in size. You also get to try your hand at a couple of moving targets, which take the form of moving cylinders. The session takes approx 2 hrs to complete. A simple points system is used, with the individual or team scoring most being the winner!

Our long bow archery usually runs as part of our combined Archery & Paintball activity day. We usually do archery first in the warmer part of the day. Then, after a break for refreshments, we get kitted up for a full 4 hrs paint-balling as it gets cooler
Min ages: 6 for Archery using mini bows / children's cross bows.

session
On occasions it may be necessary to combine
with other groups / individuals or switch days.
In the unlikely event of the activity not running an alternative may be offered.
