Spain has always been synonymous with golf, and with only an average of some 20d rainy days a year its no wonder why! We have three good golf courses within easy reach of Almuñécar, and offer a round of golf at Los Moriscos in Motril / Salobreña as part of our inclusive activities, with complimentary transport. For Santa Clara or Baviera, however, either a hire car or taxi will be necessary in peak seasons (in the quieter months we can transport you there by prior arrangement at cost).
Please NB that local tournaments will usually have priority over casual play - Bavaria Golf & Los Moriscos have tournament dates on-line (web sites below). If in doubt and a date is important to you - Contact us with the date & we will check for you and reserve your tee time.
Par 70, 18 holes, 5072m / 5547 yds.
Motril is just down the coast to the east of Almuñécar (approx 30min drive). The course is split into two parts adjoining the sea, which combine to just over 5000 m. A mostly flat course with a selection of water hazards along with palm trees and sugar cane to avoid. Generous greens, and some holes offering stunning views along the coast, as well as snow capped mountains inland in winter. Feedback from clients is that the back nine are more interesting than the front.
Clubhouse with showers etc., as well as a restaurant & lovely bar with beach side patios. There is also a good driving range adjacent for practice.
