Water sports - Kayaks, Dinghies, Wind Surf, Catamarans

For our water sports activities we use a long established sea kayak, sailing & windsurf school in a bay with constant & predictable winds. This school has been operating successfully since 1979, and their staff know every inch of the local waters, as well as having a full knowledge of the prevailing, and forthcoming, wind and wave conditions. Tuition is first class, with Rob and his team offering group or individual lessons and coaching, as well as the popular sea kayak safaris.

Whether you choose windsurfing, dinghy sailing, catamarans or sea kayaks an exhilarating and fun filled days water sports is virtually (weather permitting of course) guaranteed!

Sea Kayaks and Sea Kayak Safari

Paddling a sea kayak along the coast exploring the sea cliffs and caves is a fantastic experience. All our sea kayaks have fitted back rests, so are extremely comfortable to use, as well as being highly stable and unsinkable. Our 3hr guided sea kayak safari along the sea cliffs towards Maro is a firm favourite, as we have the opportunity to stop for a swim and snorkel in the caves, before heading around the cliffs to a neighbouring bay. Here you stop for refreshments in a beach side chiringuito. Both single and double kayaks are available.

An extended Sea Kayak safari, for a minimum number of 6 clients, can be easily arranged, where we arrange transport along the coast to Nerja. Here, after a full brief on the kayak and your course home, you will be free to spend the day (allow in the region of 5 hrs) making your way back to base through the natural marine park.

Windsurf

With the latest generation large capacity boards, even total beginners are pretty well guaranteed to be up & sailing within the shortest period of time. Starboards are the preferred supplier for these lessons, and we can offer a range of sizes from 130 to 205l, with sails ranging from 2.5 to 7.5m. Hire by the hour, or take a private lesson by an hour to address technique - or take a 5hr course.

Dinghy & Catamaran

Dinghy & Catamaran sailing tuition is available as private lessons by the hour, or as 5 hour courses, in which the basic skills to launch, sail and recover will be taught. The school uses a variety of boat manufacturers dependent on abilities, which include Laser as well as Hobie cats and Prindle.
