Who are Totally Sorted Sports?
Totally Sorted Sports is an independent provider of sports activity holidays and short breaks.  We are a Spanish "Sociedad de Responsabilidad Limitada" or "S.L." which is a form of limited company (for those interested one of the main differences being that the shares cannot be traded on the stock market).  As such we are subject to the relevant accounting regulations and need to file approved company accounts, etc every year. We are fully registered with the Mercantil de Granada and are members of the local Patronato de Tourismo (tourist board).  See the Totally Sorted? page for further information.

How do I book my holiday?
Full details of the booking process are on our bookings page, but in a nut shell you simply check either Activity Holiday dates & prices or Riding Holiday dates & prices then use our links on the Transport page to check for flights.  When you have decided on the date you want & the arrival time of the flight you will be using, then complete the on-line availability inquiry (or call us) and we will check & confirm availability for your chosen holiday period.  If we have availability we will make a provisional booking for you and hold it for 24hrs while you book your flights and download and complete the booking form.

Why are credit / debit card payments billed in euros?
Unfortunately at present we are unable to take credit or debit card payments in £ sterling due to the fees charged by the credit card companies for "Cross border" payments and the cost of converting the £ into €.  In order to cover these fees, we would need to increase our costs by a substantial amount, so in common with our peer group, we have decided to bill credit / debit cards in Euros in order to give you the best deal.

This effectively splits the transaction, whereby we pick up all the charges for the credit card processing & admin and your card company will convert the € payment to £ on your statement.  As this is a "purchase", rather than a "cash advance", you should not be charged any additional fees by your card company for this.

Non EEC Currencies (Dollars / Pounds / Krones / Kronas, Etc)
As all our costs, with the exception of some locally placed adverts, are incurred in Europe and the majority of our clients are also European we price in Euros (€).

The prices shown in € Euros will be used for payments made by credit or debit card or by cheque or bank transfer directly to our Spanish bank account. They are the final price you pay - we will not add any surcharges or currency adjustments to these € prices.

The prices shown in £ Sterling are shown for the convenience of our English, Welsh, N. Ireland & Scottish clients and are based on the exchange rate shown on the page concerned, which is liable to change.

Please note that, as in previous years and with especial regard to the current poor performance of the Pound against the Euro, we can only accept Sterling by cheque or bank transfer directly to our UK Lloyds TSB bank account at the prevailing exchange rate.

We appreciate that holidays are a substantial investment and work very hard to provide excellent value for money without compromising quality.  The price shown at the time of booking is the price you will pay - we do not add last minute surcharges to your holiday cost.

We regret we cannot accept direct payments in other non EU currencies such as Danish Krone, Swedish Krona, US Dollars etc - please contact us for details.

Paying by PayPal

We use PayPal for all our  credit & debit card processing.  PayPal is a secure online account that stores your credit card and bank details, which are not passed on to any retailers or other parties.  This allows you to pay online and by mobile phone quickly and safely using your e-mail address and password. Your financial information is never shared with the seller.  You can pay by Credit / Debit card, Direct Debit or from your PayPal Balance. PayPal is accepted by over 100,000 online retailers across Europe, including leading UK names such as Monarch Airlines, Boots, DHL, Harrods, Goldsmiths, SweatyBetty, eBay, etc.

PayPal Limits:
If you do not have a PayPal account, you may send a maximum of €1,600 for a one-time single transaction. NB: If the amount of your transaction is greater than €1,600 you will need to verify your PayPal account to complete your payment.

There is a limit of €8,000 per transaction for a PayPal member.  To make a payment in excess of €8,000 multiple transactions can be sent to add up to the total amount.

How do I book the activities I want to do?
Simply indicate on the booking form we will send you which activities you want for your party.  We will then send you form to find out all the things like bike frame sizes, riding ability, etc we need in order to book everything in advance for you.  See booking process  on our bookings page for more details on booking.

Do you organise flights?
No, as we find that it usually cheaper and more convenient for our clients to take advantage of the many low cost airline routes operating out of the UK regional airports to Malaga & Granada, rather than committing to charter seats which by their nature will be all from a single departure airport, and also tend to be subject to more delays when routed from hubs such as Gatwick.  Check out our travel details pages ffi.

Can you help with multi activity insurance?
Yes - please see insurance.

Chickens & Eggs Answered - or "If you don't do flights how can I reserve accommodation while I look for a flight"?
Relax - Our experience shows us the best way all round is for you to check out the flights first, so you know what's available at what time and how much they cost.  Next use our on-line availability inquiry form.  If we have availability we will pencil it in while you confirm your flight.  See booking process for full details.

Do you do airport transfers?
Yes, subject to the schedule on our travel details page. if required.  Normally we pick up at Malaga airport at times to coincide with Easy Jet flights (as there are by far the most popular at present).  An additional cost (payable locally) is made for transfers outside these times, which may be via taxi.  However, if you wish to hire a car we will supply full driving instructions to get you from the airport to here (and back) - or the local coach service is very good..  See our travel details pages ffi.

What about car hire?
Car hire can be arranged from Malaga or Granada, or we can arrange a local hire car here in Almuñécar if you decide you would like a car at a later date.  Our travel details page has a link to our recommended supplier - and if you book via the link on our page you will get a 15% discount.  Let us know if you are self driving and we will supply full driving instructions on how to get to Almuñécar, road junctions to watch out for, etc.

How does your flexible booking system work?
Our flexible booking system gives you the flexibility to tailor the activities you undertake during your holiday.  We have "bundled" like themed activities into our activity weeks, which allows you the freedom to concentrate on the type of activity you favour most.
So, if you are into, say, horse riding but your partner prefers walking & mountain biking, you can simply tailor your holiday so that each of you gets to do what they like best, by simply booking the corresponding activity you want.  This gives you flexibility on your holiday, in so far as couples may choose to enjoy different activities in different days before meeting up later to swap stories.
Or....
Alternatively simply book Accommodation Only and select from our wide choice of standalone activities.

Can you do special itineraries for people / small groups?

No- all our activities are optional. You don't need to pre-book anything, and can always change your mind when you're here and if there is capacity / spaces we will get you in.

Do you cater for teenagers?
Yes - please see our teenagers page for more information.

Are there minimum ages / height / weight restrictions on any activities?
Yes, on some there are like weight on horses, and ages for diving.  Please see the individual activity detail sheets for full information, which are all shown on the main Main Activities Menu .

What's the price of an activity?
Prices for all our inclusive activity holidays are listed at Activity Holiday dates & prices or see here for individual optional activities.

What's a typical week look like?
Of course the flexible booking system tends to make everyone's week's slightly different, but our Activity Weeks menu has links to typical weeks itineraries.

What should I bring?
You need to pack for a trip to southern Spain at the time of year you are considering (see also "What's the weather like"  below), as well as consider what activities you will be undertaking.  To help understand what other items you may need, we have compiled some guidance notes for packing.

How can you do all this range of activities and keep the quality up?
Simply by concentrating on our strengths, which lie in identifying & investigating existing providers of activities and sporting opportunities.  Then, working through the language barrier, in analysing, planning & organising a way through all their different timings, seasonal variations, cost structures etc to select chosen partners with whom we operate.  The "Totally Sorted?" page gives an overview of our philosophy, and more info on what we do and how we do it in order to ensure you get maximum "bang for your buck".

What's going to try and eat me?
In common with all the Mediterranean coastline we do get a few months of mosquitoes, especially on the rare occasions it's wet.  A sensible precaution at night is to apply an anti mosquito spray or cream if you are susceptible to being bitten - though some swear yeast tablets, garlic, marmite or a combination of all three work well, though at the expense of your love life.
