2011 Autumn, Winter, 2012 Spring Activity Holidays - Run until until Fri 01 June 2012.
2012 Summer Activity Holiday Dates - Summer itinerary runs w/c Sat 02 June until Fri 28 Sep 2012.
Saturday - We meet you at Malaga Airport (see transfer times) and transfer you to your accommodation, where we will run through your fully detailed welcome folder with all the local maps and guides you need to get the most from your stay.
Saturday Evening - Join our beach side welcome meeting in a chiringuito overlooking the glittering blue sea and enjoy a refreshing drink & tapa while we run through your weeks itinerary and give a swift overview of the town and surrounding area. After answering any questions you may have we head off for your fully inclusive welcome evening meal & drinks in a typical Andalucian restaurant.
Sunday - Choose from one of our ever popular self guided
Mountain Biking
routes. Experienced riders can take our great Ridge
Route with off road
options between 9 and 15km, or a return all downhill via tarmac.
Stunning views over the white villages and the bright blue sea, from a high
point of some 600m altitude. All route notes & maps needed supplied
as well as picnic lunch.
- OR -
Less experienced riders can cruise
down our super downhill Mountain Bike route
which descends through a nature reserve complete with wild animals, before
continuing down a spectacular
ridge top road with views over towards the African coast. Pretty well
downhill all the way and well paved, so great for families as well.
Snack pack included. notes supplied.
- OR -
Simply take one of our MTBs for a spin along the paseo and explore
along the coast line - or perhaps take a shorter ride to find a
Roman Bridge and some great viewpoints. We supply all the
route notes you need for a great day!
- OR -
Explore on foot with our fully illustrated
local walking route notes. Visit the
Devils Tower,
Roman
Bridges & Aqueducts, tropical fruit orchards, take the
Ridge Route
or simply snorkel along the shore to explore the coast.

Monday- Choose from:
Coastal Paths Walk. A great
self guided coastal walk with a picnic lunch to enjoy en route, following the Moorish Atalayas
(watchtowers) along the coast & cliff paths to the neighbouring town of
Salobreña with its Arabic hill top castle. Time to sightsee in
Salobreña and explore the castle and old town with its gleaming white
houses clinging to the hill below - or stroll over to the beach and enjoy
tapas or freshly barbequed fish at a beach bar by the sea. Return transport, picnic lunch as well as Salobreña guide notes
& maps all
inc.
- OR -
Gorge walk. Enjoy a great guided walk following a local river up
through it's valley, passing through a series of gorges to arrive at
rock pools and waterfalls where you can stop for a swim. Super
scenery and great fun in Summer! Picnic lunch incl.
- OR -
Horse Riding.
A brilliant ride in comfortable & safe Spanish or Portuguese saddles along the old mule trails through the olive and mango orchards overlooking
the glittering blue sea. All abilities catered for - even absolute
beginners! Fantastic views and
superb, forward going horses. Lessons in the arena with BHS qualified
instructors can be arranged locally as well if rqd.
Evening After our days activities we all meet up in a beach bar and then set off for an evening's mini-tour of Almuñécar to get you orientated. On this we will see some of the Roman ruins, the castle, old town and a few of the lovely monuments and statues by Miguel Moreno.
Tuesday - Take your pick from:
PADI trial dive
No previous experience required on our as all instruction is given
to you for a first class introduction to this brilliant sport. If the
bug bites we can organise a full four day course in which you will gain the
world recognised PADI Open Water Diver qualification, allowing you to dive
with a buddy independent of an instructor

Watersports -Sea Kayak Safari
- Choose from: Escorted Sea Kayak Safari in double or single seat sea
kayaks around the sea cliffs and caves (swell & sea conditions permitting).
Stop at adjoining beaches & coves for a swim & snorkel (free hire of masks &
snorkels).
- OR -
Windsurfing Enjoy a couple of
hours windsurfing and an
hours sea kayaking as well. A great choice of windsurfing boards & rigs suitable
from complete beginners to experts. All equipment supplied.
Windsurfing instruction / courses can be arranged on arrival if rqd, as well
as dinghy or catamaran sailing.
Evening - Join us on our fun filled Tapas Trail, where €15 "in the kitty" takes around the old town with its tapas bars and restaurants. A great way to get to know the old part of town, with its cobbled streets lined with small shops as well as the local tapas & specialities.
Wednesday - Free time to maybe try one of our optional activities. Visit the amazing Alhambra Palace in Granada, visit a spa, or just relax by the glittering blue sea. Moto Cross / off road trail riding is available, while summer yacht charters are great fun. Perhaps do some sightseeing or mountain biking, take a guided walk, or try any of our other optional activities... the choice is yours - just let us know and we will get it Totally Sorted for you!
Thursday - Summer Season - Choose from:
Canyoning - A "must do" activity for all
in the summer season (runs Apr - Oct - for Winter season see below), this full days canyoning is a
great day in truly spectacular surroundings. Walking, swimming and
jumping down the river and rock pools, as well as abseiling down the
waterfalls in the gorges high in the mountains, where the mountain goats just
stand and wonder why we do it. Absolutely brilliant fun! Packed
lunch included.

(Summer Season) Mountain Biking -
As an alternative, enjoy our brilliant Sierra Almijara natural park ride! We drive in a/c
4WD up through the valley inland into the Natural Park, enjoying the fantastic
scenery, to our drop off at an
altitude of 1062m above sea level. You then descend on forest tracks through the park to the villages of Lentegi, then down
further tracks to Otivar, before heading back to Jete on road. You can
then either continue home of the road, or dive down into Rio Verde to follow
the river course back. Picnic lunch inc.
- OR -
(Summer Season) Sierra
Almijara Natural Park walk - A glorious walk down through the natural park (see above) with
time to relax in the olive groves for a picnic, stopping in a white village
for refreshments. We finish at a typical Andalucian country restaurant in Otivar for tapas / lunch (not inc) before
our
transport arrives to take us back down the valley to home. Picnic lunch
inc.
Thursday - Winter Season (Nov - end Mar) we offer
Horse Riding
or perhaps Skiing / Boarding
instead of Canyoning as the rivers are too high. Great riding out in the sierras, or
perhaps for more experienced riders the opportunity for a beach ride.
Lessons with BHS qualified instructors can be arranged.

(Winter Season) -
Skiing / boarding. In the skiing season, opportunity
(numbers dependent) for a days
skiing in Sierra Nevada, from where on a clear day we see the mountains of
the Rift Valley in Africa. Local payment for transport, lift pass and
kit hire.

(Winter Season) Mountain Biking -

(Winter Season) Natural
park hike. - Natural park walk as Summer season above. Picnic lunch

Friday - Choose from:
Quad Biking -
An exciting 3 hr Quad Bike safari in the Axarquia region takes you high into
the sierras and the natural park on our Quad Bikes. You will get full
instruction on how to safely handle your Quad, before setting off to explore
off road along the river beds and trails. UK (or equiv) licence rqd to
drive.
- OR -
Nerja Caves. A half day excursion to see the worlds largest
underground column in the spectacular Nerja caves complex, where we will see
where the famous ballets are held each year in Spring. Amazing
underground formations in a truly spectacular setting. We then visit the
Pueblo Blanco (White Village) of
Frigiliana with its maze of cobbled streets and white cottages dating back to
Moorish times. A real "picture postcard" village, with enchanting tapas
bars, and stunning views from the terraces and hill top behind the town.
Don't forget the camera!
Saturday - Transfers back to Malaga airport

Simply book "No Activities" for them and we give them the discount shown. They can then add in any of our optional activities, so if they fancy a Spa session, an excursion to the Alhambra palace in Granada or decide to have a go at something different its all there to choose from.
And don't forget our extensive riding facilities are available as well for all clients.
