Airport – Inbound health Controls

Spain re-opened its borders to most European Union and Schengen-area countries on Sun June 21.
Restrictions on travellers from outside the European Union and the Schengen free-travel area were lifted on July 1, providing the countries they depart from have agreements with Spain.
NB This is subject to rapid change and must not be interpreted as a surety – for the latest information please check with your government travel advisory service.

With effect from 01 July all arrivals must complete a Sanitary Control Form (FCS) application 48hrs prior to arrival which will generate a QR code to be shown on entry to Spain. It is mandatory to show this on arrival and there is only a temporary transition period until circa 31 Jul in which paper forms will be permitted. This is available on the website or downloadable as an App. Full details along with further information are available on the Spanish Government travel health site. You will need your identity document number (passport, ID, etc.), information about your flight, information about your stay in Spain and Email address to complete the form.

All arrivals will be subject to a three point health check involving a questionnaire, temperature checks and physical examination and if any check is not passed will be referred the medical teams. All arrivals must complete a health declaration including their intended location and address during their stay. Any one exhibiting a temperature in excess of 37.5 or other symptoms will be referred to the medical facility for further screening.

Arrivals – Quarantine Periods

Certain non EU / non Schengen area countries remain subject to a compulsory quarantine for 14 days on arrival.
During the quarantine period, these arrivals must remain at their home or declared accommodation, and must limit their travel to the following activities:
a) Acquisition of food, pharmaceuticals and basic necessities.
b) Assistance to health centres, services and establishments.
c) Due to force majeure or a situation of need.
The wearing of masks will be made compulsory for all displacements.

UK based clients should check the UK Gov website for any return quarantine measures in force.

Anyone returning to the UK from Spain (including the islands) on or after 26 July 2020 will need to self isolate for two weeks.
