It looks like this year’s much anticipated 33rd annual Jazz en la Costa may well be going ahead.

The date is now set by the Town Hall and festival organisers for Wed 22nd to Sat 25th July all being well.

This year the festival will be celebrating it’s 33rd year , reinforcing its position as the most important event of this genre in the entire Andalusian coast. It is now distinguished with the quality seal of the European Association of Festivals of the European Commission, as the most important of the Andalusian summer and one of the best in Spain.

Jazz on the Coast is one of the oldest international jazz events in Europe. Set in Majuleo Park in the shadow of the Castillo San Miguel and next to the Roman ruins it is always a superb spectacle.

Music from the Mediterranean to the Cuban and Brazilian Caribbean, from New Orleans to Cádiz, with artists such as Paquito D`Rivera, Danilo Pérez, Rosa Passos, Branford Marsalis, Tete Montoliú, Kenny Barron, Joe Zawinul, have passed through the stage of El Majuelo. Dave Holland, Chano Domínguez, Gregory Porter, Joshua Redman, Charles Lloyd, or Chucho Valdés among many others.

As soon as the program is released and details of ticket sales are published we will update with details. As always these gigs are sell outs, so if you want to be sure of a ticket then just let us know and we will do our best to get them for you in advance.
